Welcome to The Elixir Fix’s notice board, aka The Quick Fix.
This is a fortnightly update that includes different shit I like that I think you’ll like.
It’ll have everything from the best literature to, the equally important, best meme.

Feel free to send me or tag me on cool shit to include. I like cool shit.

I am now intensely into The School of Life seminars. Last week I went to hear Laurie Penny speak on ‘Freedom’ and as such am reading her new book ‘Bitch Doctrine’ which you need to buy RN – do so here

I have a CHRONIC sweet tooth and this might just be THE best song… ever… in the world

I got introduced to the sassiness that is the “Guys We Fucked” podcast duo. Check em out (find the lil purple podcast app on your iPhone). I particularly enjoyed
– How does censorship affect feminism?
– What’s sign language for ‘lesbian text-based erotica’?
They’re two female comedians from the big apple who talk about serious shit in a hi-laaaaareyy-us way

I’m still mourning the end of POWER Season 4. Fuck, man. If you haven’t seen Fiddy Cents show then I’m jealous of you because you get to start it from the beginning and that is reason to celebrate. Also, as if you didn’t love him enough already check out how divine the actor is who plays Jamie here

I’m on a war against take out cups. This is the beaut keep-cup I use and I get lots of complements for it’s unique sleekness.

I’ve been invited to see London Grammar in two weeks! Have you listened to their new album ‘It’s a beautiful thing’? You should. ‘Cos, guess what? It’s a beautiful thing.

One of my teachers introduced me to this divine Welsh abstract landscape painter. Thought I’d share a piece of art with you because it’s lover-ly and it’s nice to feel edumacated isn’t it.

Boat on a Lake by Ivon Hitchens (1893-1979)

For the Sydney locals, you need to come to Women in Music Empowerment Day 2017 on Sunday 24th and enjoy a host of female music acts such as Deeper Than House and Honey Club Honey plus more… It’s only $15 and all proceeds go to The Girls Refuge, a supportive, home-like environment for young women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.. Buy HERE

Lastly, but still importantly, let’s remember the words from legend Roald Dahl

If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.

Big blessings to you, my friend.
